My nutrition journey started when I was in elementary school.
I found out I had a food allergy, then a few years later a couple more, and another few years later even more.
By the time I graduated high school, it felt like I had more allergies than I could count on both hands. I grew up eating carrots while everyone else was eating cake and struggled for a long time, accepting that I wouldn’t be able to eat like others.
But then I realized that I could find foods I loved that wouldn’t make me sick, and my whole mindset shifted.
Rather than feeling limited, I explored new foods and new ways to make my old favorites. I became a Registered Dietitian to show others that making food choices to promote your health and well-being doesn’t have to mean you can’t love the foods you’re eating and that you can do it in a way that doesn’t make you feel like you’re missing out.
I get what it’s like to be the “patient,” to be so overwhelmed you don’t know where to start when it comes to making changes that promote your health, to wish you could go back to a time when you didn’t have to think about the food you put in your body, and to struggle with social situations because you know that what you are (or aren’t) eating is going to come up in conversation.
Now, I work one-on-one with women to help them battle stress around making nutrition changes for their health, how to feel their best in their own skin, how to listen to what their body is telling them, and how to make food choices that nourish and heal their bodies.
My mission is to provide evidence-based, individualized nutrition care that is easily accessible.
Each person is their own individual and deserves nutrition care that meets their needs, supports and improves their health, and makes them feel their best. By offering virtual support, my services can be more accessible to those who work with me to reduce stress around accessing nutrition care.
You and your needs are my main focus, I will act as a guide to help you implement evidence-based changes to help you be as successful as possible and reach your goals.
